SQUIB - Pre-existing CR, Session Details, God Tier, & Test Drive

Sup, kids!

How about figuring some more stuff out? You guys like figuring things out, right? Yeah? Yeah!:

• Pre-existing CR: Did you want to plot with others? Do any kids want to know the others before the game? Be bffs? Any trolls have relationships, buddies, etc? Plot it up!

• Session Details: Explanation of the game, questions about the game, etc! Don't be afraid to ask!

• God Tier: Got a question or a theory on what your god tier combination does? Blab away!

• TEST DRIVE: Where you can thread anything. Literally anything without risks. This will NOT have canonical influence! This is just you getting a feel for your character. Though considering that we're pretty laidback? If a thread goes really well, you're welcome to declare it canon later; but by default, threads are non-canon unless specified! (So no one needs to panic about "messing up" at all, yo)

• Questions: For anything! Ask away!

So this post is to get Squib back on y'all's minds, pondering things. We've got the information for half the characters, now we need the other half. Exciting, oh yes!

So... Other kid players! Want to know each other online before the game? I'm guessing not in person, since players' hometowns are very much separated. Any thoughts on pre-existing CR?

I quite agree with knowing each other before the game. Or rather, how else would they know to invite each other to play the game? XD

Um... Lessee. I can definitely see Lyra and Cody getting along for MUSIC reasons, and maybe clashing a little because of Cody using his instrument as his weapon. Maybe they also do covers of each other's songs?

I dunno too much about the interests/personalities of the other two kids though. =o

Alma is probably that one acquaintance that they all have that no one knows how to deal with but at the same time it's not like she's an ass on purpose she just has... empathy issues...


As far as how they know each other- maybe from some sort of forum or MMO?

SESSION DETAILS

As a general explanation: Kids are on Earth, Trolls are on Alternia. Somehow, someone is responsible in each group for getting all the Players into their session of the game (ie: one Kid roped everyone in and one Troll roped everyone in).

Information such as entry order (who entered the game first/etc) for server/client players (reminder: the Server player is basically the player in a game of "The Sims" while their Client is the player that runs around) can be worked out, as well.

As a reminder of the game process:
1) Everyone is on Earth/Alternia (we are here!)
2) Everyone gets the game.
3) Players run the game and must prototype their sprite once (or twice)
4) Everyone enters the game (can be played out or handwaved when we get there).
5) All players are now on their Planets in the spreadsheet (ie: Sigali is in the Land of WALLS and COFFINS)
6) Players can prototype their sprite a second time if they haven't yet.
7) Everyone beats up imps!
8) Players can go gate-jumping to meet each-other!
9) ???

...that's all I've got off of the top of my head. If anyone has any questions about anything, feel free to ask! There are no stupid questions, I promise!

Also welcome is theories/ideas on what we can break in the game, such as (because of the nature of the name "Squib") ideas to blow holes in the sessions so, perhaps, kids and trolls can meet in-person too. Or anything, really. Bring it!

GOD TIER

Ask questions about "wtf does my god tier do, help" or offer up what you think yours does!

Cody's probably going to end up using his god tier stuff to be the tank. Because 1) it's manly to be the tank right and 2) I tend to go with the theory of Knight being a passive class - more the 'defender' than 'attacker'.

Bard of Light though for fuck yes. I'm a little shaky on how attacks would work, or if Bards even attack at all and what would Lyra be doing just standing around and derping while things blow up around her?

Since Blood generally seems to involve either memories or 'camaraderie', I figure a thief that takes those for her own advantage might either mess with memories or mess with loyalties depending on whether or not we get more detail in regard to those abilities soon...ish...

That aside, given that Sylphs are interpreted as being healers, I'm thinking...reversing time on a small scale so that injuries "never happened" or something like that? Can only be used to revive the dead if they were "not meant to die", though. Otherwise, there's just going to be a lot of dead alternate selves.

(So maybe Aeta should cool it on messing with time for a while.)

TEST DRIVE

REMINDER: These are no-risk, non-canon thread opportunities.

You can declare a thread canon later if both parties agree, but otherwise the default is that they aren't canon at all. You can't make mistakes if it's just practice!

We're all pretty much new to our characters, so get a feel for them, don't worry at all!


You can start with a thread that others can tag you in with or without any information, or you can tag into others' threads, or both!

But because it's pesterchum-styled, appropriate formatting would be a good idea!
